About Us

Know more about PixUp

What is PixUp?

PixUp is a simple and fast image compressor that optimizes your images right inside your browser. Without any signup, you can reduce the size of your photos and also control the quality.

The tool is designed in a way that beginners as well as professionals can use it easily. Features like drag & drop interface, format selection, and preview give you complete control.

PixUp is mainly helpful for those who want fast-loading images for websites, portfolios, social media, or clients—without compromising too much on quality.

Why we built it

We created PixUp so that designers, developers, and regular users can compress images online without installing heavy software. Keeping privacy in mind, most of the processing happens locally, which keeps your files secure.

Our focus is on fast performance, a clean UI, and clear results (before/after comparison, size reduction, etc.) so that you can create ready-to-use assets for any project.

In the future, we plan to add more formats, smart presets, and workflow features (such as team sharing, custom presets, and advanced export options).

FAQs

Common questions & answers
Which formats are supported?

PixUp supports common web and photo formats including PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and more. Some RAW, PSD, EPS and other proprietary files may be converted server‑side or via additional tools.

Are my files uploaded to your server?

By default, image compression happens locally in your browser and files remain on your device. Server conversion is optional and only used for formats that cannot be handled client-side.

What are the file size limits?

Browser-based processing is limited by your device and browser memory. For very large RAW or multi‑frame images, use the optional server conversion which can handle larger files (subject to server limits).

How do I get the best quality vs size?

Start with WebP or AVIF for excellent compression. Use the quality slider and preview to balance size against visible artifacts. For photos, 70–85% quality often gives a good tradeoff.

Troubleshooting: upload or preview issues

If a file fails to preview or convert, try a different browser, reduce the image dimensions, or use the server conversion option. Check the console for errors and reach out via the Contact link if problems persist.
